Nadja Bounenni (she/her)
and choreographer based in Copenhagen.
Her movement practice emerges from somatic principles and rituals, derived from her diverse training in contemporary dance, African dance, yoga, martial arts and acrobatics. Her artistic interest lies in political debates of our times and notions of reality and fiction. In her works she invites elements from the past and future, and she encourages the very own individual interpretation of the experience. The performative universes she creates are somewhat wacky, eccentric and quirky, always proposing a relaxed and sensuous audiencing, oftentimes interactive.
Nadja graduated from the Danish National School of Performing Arts in 2020. Since, she works internationally as a freelancer and among others with Don Gnu physical theater company, Caroline Blomqvist, Hannah Toticki, Adèle Essle Zeiss and Synergy of Music Theater.
